Abamectin
A naturally derived insecticide and acaricide, a mixture of avermectins B1a (about 80%) and B1b produced by the soil bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis, discovered in the 1970s; it is used in agriculture and as a veterinary antiparasitic. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know?It differs from ivermectin only by a double bond between carbons 22 and 23; exposed to light it breaks down quickly, on plant surfaces, in soil and in water.
