Adrogolide

A prodrug of the compound A-86929, a full agonist at dopamine D1 and D5 receptors; it was studied for Parkinson's disease up to phase II, but development was stopped in 2001 before it reached the market. This family brings together the active ingredient and nitrosamines.

Did you know?It is a chemically stable diacetate ester that the body rapidly deacetylates into the active compound: taken by mouth at most 4% reaches the bloodstream, whereas by inhalation almost all of it does.
