Alaptide

A synthetic cyclic dipeptide derived from the hypothalamic factor MIF, created in Czechoslovakia: Czechoslovak and European patents protected its use for tissue regeneration, such as burns and skin lesions, and more recently it has been studied in the Czech Republic for wound healing. This family brings together the active ingredient.

Did you know? Its molecule is spirocyclic: the dipeptide ring and a cyclopentane ring share a single carbon atom, hence the chemical name 8-methyl-6,9-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-7,10-dione.
