Amisulpride
A benzamide antipsychotic introduced in the 1990s: at higher doses it is used for schizophrenia and, at low doses, in some European countries including Italy, for dysthymia. This family brings together the active ingredient, pharmacopoeial impurities, labelled standards and other impurities.
Did you know?In the United States it has never been approved as an antipsychotic, but in 2020 it arrived there for a completely different use: intravenously, against nausea and vomiting after surgery.
