Bornaprine

A synthetic anticholinergic created in 1960 by the German scientist H. Haas, used mainly against tremor in Parkinson's disease; in Europe it has also found use against excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.

Did you know? Its skeleton is a norbornane, a 'bridged' ring obtained through the famous Diels-Alder reaction between cyclopentadiene and atropic acid.
