Bromantane

An adamantane derivative developed in the 1980s at the Zakusov State Institute of Pharmacology in Moscow, with stimulant and anxiolytic effects; in Russia it has been approved since the late 2000s for neurasthenia. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards and other impurities.

Did you know?Rather than acting directly on receptors, it increases dopamine production by 'switching on' the genes of the enzymes that make it; it is sometimes described as a synthetic adaptogen.
