Bromisoval
A sedative and hypnotic of the bromoureide group, discovered in Germany in 1907 and patented in 1909: in Asia it has also been sold over the counter, usually combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know? Its names, bromisoval and bromovalerylurea, sum up its recipe: it is made by brominating isovaleric acid, which takes its name from valerian, and then reacting it with urea.
