Dapaconazole
A topical imidazole antifungal developed in Brazil, where it was studied in the 2010s against athlete's foot (tinea pedis) and jock itch (tinea cruris): like the other azoles it blocks the enzyme CYP51, which fungi need to make ergosterol. This family brings together the active ingredient.
Did you know?In a study of healthy volunteers, after two weeks of daily application to the skin it was found in only one blood sample, and only in traces: very little reaches the bloodstream.
