Eletriptan

A second-generation triptan that stimulates serotonin 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D and 5-HT1F receptors, approved in the United States at the end of 2002 for the acute treatment of migraine attacks. This family brings together the active ingredient, pharmacopoeial impurities, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.

Did you know?It is more lipophilic than the other triptans, meaning it has a greater affinity for fats: a chemical property that helps it to be absorbed quickly through the intestinal wall.
