Etofylline
A theophylline derivative, 7-(2-hydroxyethyl)theophylline, from the xanthine family: it is used as a bronchodilator and has a pharmacological profile similar to that of theophylline. It was already being prepared in the late 1940s. This family brings together the active ingredient and labelled standards.
Did you know?It dissolves freely in water and its solutions can be sterilised by heat; its preparation was described in 1948 in the bulletin of the Pharmacy Society of Lille, in France.
