Flufenamic Acid
A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug of the fenamate family, derivatives of anthranilic acid, created in 1963 by a research group led by Claude Winder; it is used by mouth or on the skin for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and other inflammatory conditions. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.
Did you know?Eight different crystal forms (polymorphs) are known, an unusually high number for a small drug: the same molecule can pack into a crystal in eight ways.
