Fluralaner
A veterinary antiparasitic of the isoxazoline family: it blocks chloride channels in the nerves of fleas, ticks and mites. Approved for dogs in 2014 and known for its long duration of action, it was later authorised for cats as well. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.
Did you know?Since 2017 it has also been used in Europe on poultry farms: dissolved in the drinking water, it fights the poultry red mite, Dermanyssus gallinae.
