Glutamine

One of the twenty amino acids that build proteins and the most abundant free amino acid in human blood: it carries nitrogen between tissues, and since 2017 it has also been approved in the United States for sickle cell disease. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards and other impurities.

Did you know?It was isolated in 1883 from sugar beet juice by Ernst Schulze and E. Bosshard, but it already had a name: it had been predicted and named ten years earlier, in 1873.
