Ipriflavone
A synthetic isoflavone born from a research project started in 1969 and later studied in humans: it has been used in Italy and Japan to prevent loss of bone mass after menopause. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know? The project aimed to obtain, from soy isoflavones, a molecule that would protect bone without oestrogenic effects: indeed ipriflavone, although an isoflavone, does not bind to oestrogen receptors.
