Levosulpiride
A substituted benzamide, the (S) enantiomer of sulpiride: it blocks dopamine D2 receptors and has been used for decades for dyspepsia, nausea and gastroparesis, as well as some psychiatric disorders. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards and other impurities.
Did you know?It is just one of the two mirror-image forms of sulpiride; besides blocking D2 receptors it moderately stimulates serotonin 5-HT4 receptors, which fits its use for gastric motility.
