Methylsulfonal
A sedative-hypnotic of the sulfonylalkane family, prepared and introduced in 1888 by Eugen Baumann and Alfred Kast under the name trional: similar to sulfonal, but faster acting. This family brings together the active ingredient.
Did you know?It also appears in literature: Marcel Proust mentions it as a sleeping remedy in 'Sodom and Gomorrah', one of the volumes of 'In Search of Lost Time'.
