Moexipril
An ACE inhibitor for high blood pressure, patented in 1980 and approved in 1995: it is a prodrug that the liver converts into the active form, moexiprilat. This family brings together the active ingredient, pharmacopoeial impurities, metabolites, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.
Did you know?Besides blocking the ACE enzyme, it has also shown an inhibitory effect on phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), an enzyme from an entirely different family.
