Nemadectin
A macrocyclic lactone of the milbemycin family, produced by fermentation by the soil bacterium Streptomyces cyaneogriseus and described in the late 1980s, with strong activity against nematodes and insects. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know? The bacterium that produces it was found in a soil sample from Australia; the antiparasitic moxidectin is made from nemadectin by semi-synthesis.
