Otilonium
An intestinal antispasmodic, a quaternary ammonium salt used as the bromide, that relaxes intestinal smooth muscle by blocking L-type calcium channels; it is used for the pain of irritable bowel syndrome. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know?Taken by mouth it is very poorly absorbed, about 3% of the dose: almost all of it stays in the gut and reaches its target directly through the intestinal wall.
