Primapterin
A pterin isomer of biopterin, also called 7-biopterin, that appears in the urine of children with primapterinuria, a form of hyperphenylalaninaemia described in 1988 and linked to a defect in tetrahydrobiopterin recycling. This family brings together the active ingredient and other impurities.
Did you know?Unlike classical phenylketonuria, people with primapterinuria usually do not need a low-phenylalanine diet: it is one of the mildest forms of the group.
