Relcovaptan
An orally active, non-peptide antagonist of the vasopressin V1a receptor, developed in France in the early 1990s: studied for Raynaud's syndrome, dysmenorrhoea and to halt preterm labour, it has not been approved. This family brings together the active ingredient.
Did you know? When it was presented in 1993 it was the most potent and selective non-peptide V1a antagonist described up to then: it even blocks human platelet aggregation triggered by vasopressin.
