Tiletamine

A veterinary dissociative anaesthetic, chemically related to ketamine, in use since at least the 1980s: it is given together with zolazepam, a relative of the benzodiazepines, to anaesthetise dogs and cats. This family brings together the active ingredient, nitrosamines and other impurities.

Did you know?Combined with xylazine it is also used to immobilise large wild mammals, such as polar bears and wood bison, during field studies.
