Alvimopan
A peripherally acting mu-opioid receptor antagonist, approved in the United States in 2008 to speed up the recovery of bowel function after surgery to remove part of the intestine. This family brings together the active ingredient, metabolites, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.
