Biotin
A water-soluble B vitamin (B7, also called vitamin H from the German Haut, skin): it is the prosthetic group of the carboxylases, key enzymes in the metabolism of fats, sugars and amino acids. This family brings together the active ingredient, pharmacopoeial impurities, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.
Did you know?In 1936 Fritz Kögl and Benno Tönnis first isolated just 1.1 mg of it from 250 kg of dried egg yolk. Avidin in raw egg white, on the other hand, binds it and blocks its absorption.
