Pomalidomide

An immunomodulatory drug derived from thalidomide, approved in 2013 in the United States and Europe for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma: it is the third drug in its class, after thalidomide and lenalidomide. This family brings together the active ingredient, labelled standards, nitrosamines and other impurities.

Did you know?It works as a kind of 'molecular glue': it binds the protein cereblon and makes it tag two transcription factors, Ikaros and Aiolos, for destruction.
